Teamster Power has prevailed! In less than four days, the strike against Voith Industrial Services has come to an end! This victory was only possible through the solidarity of the many sisters and brothers who continued to stand against the Company’s many attacks on their livelihoods. 

Times were often dark in the period leading up to the strike, but these strong Teamsters stood proud and continued to fight for their jobs, their families and each other. Through the combined strength of these workers, the many injustices the Company had inflicted were brought to an end. 

Next week, we will release specifics of the Agreement as they are solidified. President Zuckerman, Vice-President Avral Thompson and the Local 89 Executive Board cannot express enough how proud we are of these members. Your bravery and commitment are an inspiration for all of us. 

We would also like to give a special thank you to our union brothers and sisters at BLET Division 78 and SMART TD Local 376 for their support and solidarity during the Strike. Through your honoring of our picket lines, victory came much faster!
