Second Round of UPS Air Supplement Talks Begin

UPDATE: Louisville Air Rider Negotiations

A second round of talks for the UPS Air Supplement began Monday, Jan. 7 with negotiations tentatively scheduled throughout the month. To stay updated throughout the process of negotiations, please register on www.teamsters.com for emails and texts.

The committee is composed of 16 stewards and shop-floor leaders representing multiple job classifications and areas throughout the Louisville Air operation. To reflect the needs of both part-time and full-time workers, President Fred Zuckerman and Secretary-Treasurer John Bolton asked for the full input of the membership, stewards and UPS business agents in selecting the committee.

Contract proposals were gathered through a series of meetings last summer open to all Air District Teamsters. The numerous member-submitted proposals ranged from changes and additions to economic language, such as wages and benefits, to workplace issues such as seniority and safety. In discussing and narrowing down these proposals, the committee will create an effective and efficient strategy to deliver an Air Supplement that rewards UPS workers for the hard-work and dedication that ensures the company’s continued success.
