We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime member Shelly Arnold. Shelly passed away on Sunday at the age of 58. She had been a very proud and active member of our union since 1986 when she first became an employee at American Greetings in Bardstown, Kentucky. Shelly was a frequent visitor to our Facebook page, and often liked, commented, or shared stories to keep her co-workers informed.
“Shelly was a great person, and one of our most loyal members,” said Vice President Avral Thompson, who used to work with Shelly at American Greetings. “We will all be feeling her loss for a very long time.”
Shelly’s memorial service will be held at 5PM on Thursday, September 1st 2016 at the Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown. Visitation hours will be from 4PM to 8PM, also on Thursday.
The officers, agents, and staff of Teamsters 89 wish to express our deepest sympathies to Shelly’s family. Know that we mourn alongside you, as she was a part of our union family as well.
