RATIFIED CONTRACTS

UPS FREIGHT

The Members of UPS Freight in Louisville & Bowling Green overwhelmingly ratified a Master Agreement on Sunday April 6, 2008. In Louisville the agreement was passed with a vote of 65-11 & in Bowling Green the count was 16-1. UPS Freight Members from different locations all across the country voted over the weekend on this Master Agreement; once ratified this agreement was to take effect at Midnight on Sunday April 7th and UPS Freight Members will finally become Teamsters. This has been a long hard battle for the Members which have worked under many different companies since the fight to organize them began originally with Overnite Freight. Local 89 would like to welcome all of our new Members and thank them for their continued support throughout this battle.


IMI GLASGOW / HORSECAVE

On Thursday February 28th, 2007 the members of IMI Glasgow/Horsecave ratified a new three (3) year agreement by an 8 to 1 margin. Highlights of this agreement include wage improvements, a cap on employee portion on health & welfare and improvement in language. I would like to thank Mike & Melvin for all their hard work during these negotiations.


FTEC, Inc (dba: OMAHA STANDARD DISTRIBUTION)
On Monday January 28th, 2008 FTEC ratified a new three (3) year agreement by a large majority. Highlights of the agreement include that the members have maintained BCBS PPO insurance, other  improvements include new language concerning personal holidays, vacation & attendance policy. Hourly raises are as follows: .70 the first year, .65 second year & .65 the third year of the agreement. Improved language regarding subcontracting of work & outsourcing


Manning Equipment

One Friday July 20, 2007 the Members at Manning Equipment ratified a new contract by a 2 to 1 margin. Contact improvements include new language concerning personal holidays, vacation & attendance policy. The members will also maintain insurance cost share premium at the current rate. Wages will increase .40 cents, .40 cents, .40 cents & .45 cents over the next 4 years. 


Hubbuch's Kentucky

The Employees of Hubbuch's ratified a new contract on July 14th. The contract includes wage increases & improvements in C-4 Insurance and Class 16 Pension Plan.


Louisville Packaging

The Employees of Louisville Packaging ratified a new three (3) year agreement on May 15, 2007. Highlights from the agreement include:

Increase in wages.
$475.00 Signing Bonus.
Teamsters Central States Insurance Coverage with reduced cost to the employees.


S & S PORCELAIN METALS

The Employees of S & S Porcelain Metals recently ratified a new two (2) year agreement. The New Agreement calls for wage increases of $.40 the 1st year and $.30 the 2nd year with an increase of vacation eligibility. The contract was unanimously ratified by the bargaining unit.
 


IMI Harrodsburg & Lawrenceburg

IMI Harrodsburg & Lawrenceburg ratified a new three (3) year agreement on Saturday, January 6th, 2007
Highlights from this agreement include:

Wage Increases
Health & Welfare Coverage
Maintain Current Pension Plan


ALLIED READY MIX

Allied Ready Mix ratified a new three (3) year agreement on Sunday, January 7th, 2007
The three year (3) agreement includes:

Wage Increases
Health & Welfare Coverage with no cost to the employees
Pension Increases
 


FireKing International

The employees of FireKing International ratified a three (3) year agreement in September 2006. Highlights from the agreement include:

Hourly wage Increases of .65 the first year, .45 2nd year & .45 3rd year.
Increase in shift differential
Increase in pay for new bid jobs.
Hourly Holiday Pay increases.
Maintain current health coverage.
