Our friends at Seattle's Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) have been helping homeless veterans since 1991.
Now, Teamsters 117 is supporting the LIHI in their effort to win up to $250,000 for housing and services for local veterans, as the Home Depot Foundation is featuring the LIHI in their Aprons-in-Action Facebook Challenge. |

Vote Yes! UPS Tentative Agreement Reached

Ballots to ratify the new five year contract at UPS will be mailed to all Teamsters / UPS members starting May 24th. Ballots will be counted on June 20th. The vote comes on the heels of the tentative agreement that was unanimously approved by all Local Unions in attendance at the Two-Person review in Washington DC. |

Teamsters Rally in Support of Workers at US Hose

On Wednesday, May 15th, Teamsters Local 179 held a rally and cookout in support of the workers at US Hose. The workers will cast their votes today in an election giving them the opportunity to become members of Teamsters Local 179.
"We had a great turnout. One of our best ever. We had a lot of support," said Local 179 organizer Bob Conners. |
