Informational Update for UPS Members
Jul 07, 2017

July 7, 2017 - Update: New links have been added to digital versions of the 2017 UPS Master, Supplement and Rider, and Freight Proposal Forms.

Friday, June 30, 2017

This morning Teamsters Local 89 received a faxed memorandum from the IBT UPS National Negotiating Committee requesting that all Local Unions begin gathering proposals from our membership. Contract proposal forms for Supplements and Riders, the Freight National Master Agreement, and the UPS National Master Agreement were also included.

We at Local 89 have already been making plans to conduct membership surveys at the gates and hold contract proposal meetings in the months ahead to ensure that all our members have a chance to get their voices heard. These forms sent to us by the IBT UPS National Negotiating Committee gives us one more avenue to do just that.

It is incredibly important to these negotiations that we hear from all our members. As we move forward, please make sure you get together with other Teamsters in your work areas and discuss what you feel needs to be proposed in the coming contract negotiations, and be sure to submit such proposals to us. Speak to your friends and your co-workers, engage your stewards, and make your voices heard!

Attached below you will find the fax sent to us this morning, including the various contract proposal forms. Feel free to print these out and write down your contract proposals on them. Be sure to submit any and all filled out proposal forms directly to us at Teamsters Local 89. You can do this by giving the forms to your steward, bringing them to the union hall, or by scanning and emailing them to spiercey@teamsters89.com

As always, stay tuned to our social media and web page in the months to come in order to stay as updated as possible as we prepare for contract negotiations with UPS.
