On August 12th over 1,300 sort workers at DHL’s global hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) joined Teamsters Local 89 after the Company agreed to voluntarily recognize their workers right to collectively bargain.
For the past two years Amazon workers in Northern Kentucky have been fighting to organize the KCVG air cargo hub located at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). Amazon KCVG is the largest and most strategically important facility in the Company's air shipping network and has approximately 4,000 workers across multiple departments and shifts.

On Sunday, May 5th, Teamsters Local 89 members at Ryder South & Jeffersonville ratified a new three-year agreement containing major wage increases, language improvements, and more. The ratification comes after a previous “Last, Best and Final Offer” from the Company was unanimously rejected.

UPS received a frightening Halloween surprise today when Specialists and Admins at the Louisville Centennial Hub voted by a significant 72% margin to join Teamsters Local 89.

September 29th, 2023 – Late on Friday night, workers at the Sysco Louisville Warehouse voted by an overwhelming 92% to join Teamsters Local 89. Polling concluded at 8:00pm, and within minutes of ballots being opened it was clear that workers had emphatically chosen to make their warehouse a proud union shop.
On September 23rd, Shuttle Bus Drivers at ABM overwhelmingly ratified their first Teamsters contract with just one “no” vote cast. At approximately 180 employees, this is the largest newly organized shop to be added to Local 89 in decades and is one of the largest organizing victories of any union in modern Kentucky history.
