Over 130 workers at Real Alloy in Morgantown, Kentucky have joined Teamsters Local 89 after a National Labor Relations Board election late last night confirmed that 70% of the workforce had voted to unionize.
This is a historic victory, as it marks the first ever successful union organizing drive in Morgantown.
STRIKE ENDS AT CAESARS SOUTHERN INDIANA WITH HISTORIC CONTRACT
On Sunday, April 27th, 2025, members of Teamsters Local 89 and Operating Engineers Local 399 working at Caesars Southern Indiana ratified their new five-year contract by an overwhelming majority, bringing a thirteen-day strike to an end.
ABM Pilot Drivers recently ratified their first contract by an overwhelming 95%.
These new Teamsters at ABM are employed to shuttle UPS pilots to and from their parking lot at the Worldport air hub. Due to their connection to the pilots, the NLRB ruled that they fell under the Railway Labor Act (RLA) rather than the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
