Thanks to our brothers Jim Kincaid, Jay Dennis and Bill Miller
May 10, 2012
A special thanks to our brothers Jim Kincaid, Jay Dennis (UPS) and Bill Miller (Transervices - Kroger). Jim stood up for all workers in Indiana by running for State Representative after Right to Work (for less) was voted in. Jay & Bill worked tirelessly by running his campaign.
Well the votes are in and while the election did not go as we had hoped, we do consider our campaign to have been a success. We were a group of individuals who were very new to politics with a well-qualified candidate who was also new to the political scene. We have learned a lot and we hope to try again when the time is right.
We are honored and humbled by those who chose to give us their support. Your contributions, your time and your votes are truly appreciated. Thank you for letting us put our signs in your yard and for attending our fund raisers. This campaign was truly a grass roots one and we are grateful for all the support we received.
We would also like to offer a special thanks to the following individuals who went above and beyond the call of duty: Jay Dennis, Ann Kincaid, Nathan Knight and Bill Miller. These people worked many long hours canvassing for votes, working on mailings, making telephone calls, putting up signs and generally doing everything we could think of to make our campaign a success. We could not have been as successful as we were without your help.
So, while we did not win this election, it is important that the Democrats win in the Fall. We *must* unseat Rhonda Rhoads to have any hope of overturning Right to Work. We hope that all of you will turn out to support all of the Democratic candidates in November. Jim will continue to lobby all of our lawmakers in Indianapolis in an effort to restore the rights of Hoosier workers and to restore the funding to Indiana's schools. The fight is not over. Not by a long shot. But the battle field has changed and we will change with it.
Thanks once again for all of your support. It means more than words can say. God bless you all and God bless Indiana. - Jim Kincaid
