Aug 19, 2015 - In a stunning display of solidarity the 38 members of Allied Ready Mix unanimously rejected the company’s Final Offer on Wednesday night.

Jul 23, 2015 - With the assistance of Steward Wesley Brooks a two and a half year contract extension was reached at Minority Handling Services.

Jul 23, 2015 - With tremendous help from stewards David Dobson, Garth Sawyer and Preston Craft, a new three-year agreement was ratified at Equity Group in Albany and Franklin, Kentucky.

Taylor County R.E.C.C. office, clerical, construction and maintenance contracts were ratified on December 2, 2014. This new agreement maintains members existing healthcare package, adds wage increases of 2.5% for each year, and included step-children to sick and funeral leave.

Jul 23, 2015 - Teamsters at Kapstone Paper in Bowling Green approved a new four-year agreement.

This month’s cover story is about the Voith Industrial Services strike victory, and also includes information about so-called “Right-to-Work” legislation and our on-going battle with it. Readers will notice that this issue sports a brand new look. Local 89 staff worked very hard to do a complete overhaul of the newsletter to make it more visually appealing, stylish, and easier to read. We hope everyone enjoys the changes!
