Jan 19, 2015 - Members at AVI Vending ratified a new three-year contract last week in 15-3 vote. The new Agreement includes $1.50 in wage increases and improvements in language, insurance and vacation.
Teamsters Local 89 has joined with eight other unions in filing a federal lawsuit against Hardin County for its recent passage of an illegal “right to work” ordinance. The lawsuit, which was filed earlier today, came after yesterday’s approval of the anti-worker law by the Hardin County Fiscal Court.
Dec 08, 2014 - Local 89 has won a major arbitration victory at Transervice (Kroger Warehouse) regarding seniority and “emergency runs” for drivers. The company was found to have violated the seniority-based process of selection for bid runs resulting from an alleged “emergency”.
Dec 06, 2014 - Rev-A-Shelf Teamsters overwhelmingly ratified a new contract on Saturday, December 6th. The four-year agreement includes language improvements for vacations and absences, substantial wage increases and incentives for perfect attendance.

Nov 11, 2014 - As a result of a very successful four-day strike, Local 89 members who were unlawfully displaced at Ford’s Louisville Assembly Plant by Voith Industrial Services in 2012 are returning to work. These workers (166 employees on the original LAP seniority board, plus an additional 84 hired by Voith at LAP since 2012) will receive full restoration of seniority, wages and benefits.
