Jan 25, 2014 - A Decision has been issued in a National Labor Relations Board complaint against Ford contractor Voith Industrial Services. The Company was found to have violated numerous sections of the National Labor Relations Act for several incidents surrounding the termination of two Local 89 affiliated workers.
The proposed extension of the YRCW contract was voted down 12,028 to 7,623. YRC and Holland members in Local 89 rejected the extension 27 to 159. Members are now awaiting the next move by the Company and the IBT.
During a December meeting at Teamsters Local 89, YRC and Holland members unanimously accepted a motion to reject more proposed concessions and company bailouts.

Freight Teamsters unanimously accepted a motion today to reject concessions proposed by YRC. The Motion came after President Zuckerman and Freight Agent Kevin Oliva reviewed and addressed details of the proposed agreement with the Membership.
Freight members met at the Local 89 today to hear details regarding the recent revelation that YRC is facing dire financial problems. Local 89 President Fred Zuckerman and Freight Agent Kevin Oliva attended a meeting in Dallas on Tuesday November 6th in which the Company gave the specifics on its plan to bring itself back from the financial brink.
