Tickets will be $5 dollars each. You may purchase a maximum of six tickets. All purchases must be made by cash only. There will be no buffet tickets available this year.

March 5th, 2021 – For the last several weeks, retirees from the Teamsters and other unions around the country have watched with bated breath as the American Rescue Plan, a proposed 1.9 trillion-dollar spending bill, has been debated by Congress in Washington D.C.
Teamsters Local 89 donated and delivered 21 pallets of water to Texans in need after last week’s disastrous winter storm.
On Tuesday, February 23rd Business Agent Trey McCutcheon was sent to procure the 21 pallets of water from Louisville’s Kroger Distribution Center, home to hundreds of Teamsters Local 89 members at Zenith Logistics and Transervice.
On Thursday, February 11th, 2021 Teamsters Local 89 members at Morgan Foods ratified a new five-year agreement by an overwhelming 84% vote. This agreement contains significant economic and language improvements and marks the strongest contract to date at the canning facility.
Members will receive a .60 cent raise when the contract goes into effect, and another .
In late 2019 workers at a Smyrna Ready Mix (SRM) plant in Winchester approached Local 89 organizers about forming a union. Shortly thereafter the initial contact was fired, then the plant manager was fired for refusing to interrogate the workers about who supported a union. In early 2020 the entire plant was shut down by a Company arrogant enough to believe the law didn’t apply to them.
Teamsters Local 89 members at Brown Forman ratified a new five-year agreement on Sunday, January 31st by an overwhelming 89%. The Company had held firm for nearly two months in their attempt for a lesser contract until just days prior to expiration. They finally relented in the face of righteous determination by the Teamsters bargaining committee.
