Aug 02, 2019 - Teamsters Local 215 members at IMI ended their strike against the Company by ratifying a new three-year agreement that maintained their health insurance and included significant wages. During their strike, Local 215 extended their picket lines to IMI locations in Local 89's jurisdiction.

TEAMSTERS JOINT COUNCIL 94 ENDORSES ANDY BESHEAR FOR KENTUCKY GOVERNOR Louisville, Kentucky – June 18th, 2019: Teamsters Joint Council 94 today announced that they would be endorsing Andy Beshear for Governor of Kentucky. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, and will pit Beshear against incumbent Governor Matt Bevin.

Teamsters Local 89 and Local 783 are pleased to announce to our members that we are once again partnering to bring Teamsters Day to Kentucky Kingdom on Sunday, August 18th, 2019. Jun 15, 2019 - Members at Louisville Packaging ratified a new three-year agreement today by an overwhelming 94%.

June 03, 2019 - To all Local 89 UPS Members: Today, at the UPS National Panel, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Package Division Director, Denis Taylor, informed Local 89 and all other Local Union’s present that Retroactive Checks are currently planned to be released on “the first pay period in July”.

May 13th, 2019 - Your next scheduled GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING will be held Friday, June 14, 2019. The General Meetings are the meetings where policies affecting the Union are adopted and it is your duty to be present. Proposed amendments to the Local 89 Bylaws will be read and discussed at the meeting.

April 28th, 2019 -  Moments ago, the IBT announced that the Detroit-Metro 243 Supplement has been ratified, and that the National Master Agreement (NMA) and all attached supplements and riders will go into effect on Monday, April 29th 2019.
