Jul 26, 2018 -  Teamsters Local 89 has received a digital copy of the proposed changes to the UPS Central Region Supplement, one of the documents that make up the contract our UPS members in the Air and Ground districts are governed by. We are still in the process of reviewing the proposed changes, but would like to make the document available to our members to read.

Jul 13, 2018 -  Last night the IBT announced that they have reached a Tentative Agreement with the Company for the UPS Freight Agreement. The IBT released no further details, and stated that they would not do so until the "two-person" committee where Local Unions will send two representatives to review the proposed changes.

July 10, 2018 -  Moments ago Teamsters Local 89 received a copy of the proposed changes to the 2018 UPS National Master Agreement via an overnight delivery from the IBT. We have scanned that document into a PDF and uploaded it as an attachment to this article so that our members can read through the proposed changes prior to tonight's IBT Conference Call.

June 29, 2018 -  Today, the Teamsters Local 89 Negotiating Committee reached a Tentative Agreement with UPS for the Louisville Air Rider, an agreement which covers the UPS Teamsters who work at the Worldport Air Hub in Louisville, Kentucky.

June 21, 2018 - Moments ago, Teamsters Local 89 received an update from the IBT's UPS National Negotiating Committee (NNC) stating they have "agreed to a settlement in principle" on the UPS National Master Agreement.

Jun 01, 2018 -  Teamsters Local 89 met with the Company this week for Louisville Air Supplement negotiations, a contract which covers all members at UPS Worldport. We are happy to report that, after months of slow movement, the Company has finally begun to take negotiations seriously.

Apr 19, 2018 -  On Sunday, April 15th, Local 89 held a contract explanation meeting for our ABF members. At the conclusion of the meeting members were encouraged to VOTE NO on the Tentative Agreement. Here are the highlights (and lowlights) of the contract. Highlights Article 14, Section B – New language was created regarding members who are on prescribed medication.

Apr 19, 2018 - UPS and UPS Freight National Negotiations Update Teamsters Local 89 has received a memo from IBT Package Division Director Denis Taylor that official re-opener notices have been given to UPS and UPS Freight for the National Master Agreement (NMA) and all Regional and Local Supplements, Addenda, Appendices, Riders, and Memorandums.

Feb 16, 2018 – Moments ago, we received notification that Teamsters Local 89 Business Agent Mike Rankin had been removed from his positions on the UPS and UPS Freight National Negotiating Committees by Denis Taylor, Package Division Director for the IBT.
