On Saturday, March 19th a new three-year agreement was unanimously ratified by members at TDI.
Some of the highlights of this new contract include:
Paid sick days.
Three weeks of vacation after seven years.
Four weeks of vacation after thirteen years.
Pay progression removed for all employees.
$1.40 per hour wage increase in the first year.

On Monday, April 11th the Metro Democratic Club will be hosting a debate between McKenzie Cantrell and Dan Johnson at the Teamsters Local 89 union hall. Cantrell and Johnson are candidates in the Democratic primary for Kentucky House District 38.
Applications for Local 89 scholarships for sons and daughters of ACTIVE members of the local union are now being accepted.
Three scholarships will be awarded to male students and three scholarships will be awarded to female students.
Each scholarship is for the sum of $1,000.
