Oct 16, 2015 - On Thursday, October 15th, 2015, the members at Mondelez unanimously ratified a new three-year agreement with the company.

Oct 16, 2015 - The Central States Pension Fund Rescue Video and Town Hall Q&A that was conducted yesterday is now archived and available to watch in its entirety on Youtube. Due to the high amount of people attempting to watch this live yesterday, the Central States website was struggling to keep up and as a result many people had difficulty watching the video, or were unable to watch it at all.

On Friday, October 16th, 2015, the members at Mondelez unanimously ratified a new three-year agreement with the company. Some of the highlights of this new contract include: No increases in health care costs to the members during the life of this agreement. Increases in members pension plan all the first year. Increases in hourly wages of .75 cents in the first year .

Oct 15, 2015 - Teamsters Local 89 observers at the Carhaul contract vote count have reported that the NMATA Tentative Agreement has been resoundingly rejected by the membership nationwide.

Earlier today Jack Conway, Teamsters Local 89's endorsed candidate for Governor, sent out a press release highlighting some of the ways he will stand up for working men and women in the Commonwealth.

Oct 03, 2015 - Attention all Teamsters Local 89 members, this is a message from President Fred Zuckerman: Avral and I attended the Central States Pension fund meeting yesterday in Chicago. C/S notified us they sent their proposed plan to reduce pensions to the Treasury Dept last Friday. Treasury has up to 225 days to approve the plan and send it out for a vote or reject the plan. Letters were mailed out to all participants on Thursday and should tell you how you will be affected by the proposed changes. Although it becomes complicated with the many different considerations I will briefly outline the changes.
