Wherever these laws have been passed, wages are lower, job opportunities are fewer and there are no civil rights. We do not intend to let them do this to us.
Jan 30, 2013 - Nugent Sand Teamsters have ratified their 2013 contract in a 10-2 vote. The new agreement includes improvements to the members‘ no-cost Central States health insurance and increases in retirement through a 100% contribution to the 401k plan.
In addition, wage increases were gained along with additional opportunities for time off.
Long-time Local 89 business agent and former trustee Chuck Priddy passed away last Saturday. He leaves behind wife Celia and three children including Local 89 staff member Kim Wolfe, son Chuck Priddy and daughter Paula Keiran along with daughter-in-law Gina Priddy and son-in-law Steve Kieran.
Jan 19, 2013 - TDI Teamsters have ratified their 2013 agreement in an 11-4 vote. Among other improvements, members will receive increases in the mileage rate, reduced delay times with hourly pay after 10 hours of rest.
Jan 13, 2013 - Atlantic Aviation workers unanimously voted to accept their first contract as members of Teamsters Local 89. Two meetings were held today (to accommodate varying work schedules) with fifteen of the 21 members group voting.
Jan 09, 2013 - Teamsters voted nearly 10-1 today to accept the proposed 2013 Jeffboat agreement. The vote was 411 members voting “for” and 43 voting “against”.
Dec 23, 2012 - The 2013 Transervice agreement was overwhelmingly approved by the membership today with 126 “for” and two “against”. Job security will remain intact and the company will continue to provide the quality healthcare benefits and pay that Transervice Teamsters have earned through their dedicated service and hard-work.
