Fred Zuckerman, Avral Thompson, Jeff Cooper, Brian Hamm, Robert Colone, Craig Burns, and James DeWeese have been re-elected by a margin of three to one. Thank you to all members who participated whether by mail-in-ballot or in person during the walk-in component over the last two days.

On November 18th, Teamsters Local 89 members at American Printing House unanimously ratified a new three year agreement containing numerous improvements over previous contracts.

As a follow up to our previous posting announcing the Special Called Meeting scheduled for October 12th at 7:30 PM, please be advised of the following if you plan to attend: Masks must be worn by all attendees. You must sign in and have your temperature taken prior to entry into the building. You must be a member of Teamsters Local 89 to enter the building.

On Saturday, September 19th a contract explanation meeting and vote was held for members at Android Industries in Bowling Green, Kentucky. At the conclusion of the explanation, members voted unanimously to ratify the strongest agreement in their shop’s history.

August 25, 2020 GENEVA – In a letter addressed to Michael Reich, CEO of DSI Underground headquartered in Munich, Germany, IndustriALL Global Union has called on DSI to enter into good faith collective bargaining with Teamsters Local 89 in Louisville, Kentucky.

We are happy to announce Brian Hamm as the new Recording Secretary for Teamsters Local 89! Brian, a third-generation Teamster after his father and grandfather, became a member of Local 89 in 1986 when he began working at the newly created UPS Louisville Air Hub. At UPS, Brian worked as a marshaller and served as a steward for thirteen years, beginning in 1990.

We are pleased to announce Jeff Cooper, better known as “Coupe” by his friends and members, as the new Vice President for Teamsters Local 89! Prior to becoming the Vice President, Jeff served as a Local 89 Trustee from 2010 to 2014, when he became Recording Secretary. Jeff has a long history with Teamsters Local 89.
